I am re-doing a 1970’s kitchen and am puzzled after removing the wallpaper. Some of it was pasted onto taped bare drywall and some on textured but unprimed drywall. I assume that I need to mud the bare drywall after repairs. On the textured areas, a double layer of the same wallpaper was installed and in some areas an identified adhesive was used. I was not able to cleanly remove in these areas so some of the texture was also removed. Would I mud these bare patches of drywall too, or what recommendations do you have on this whole mess?
I would recommend re texturing it all and placing a good primer on afterwards as you had mentioned. If you want to post some pictures I can try and assist you further.
